 Goal: Drink Water

Week 1: 5,000 steps a day 


Excercise Goal: 

Upper Cycle GX: 10 minutes 

Chest Press: 2 sets x 12 reps

Row Machine: 2 sets x 12 reps 

Lat Pulldown: 2 sets x 12 reps 

Biceps Curl Machine: 2 sets x 12 reps

Triceps Extension Machine: 2 sets x 12 reps 

Cross Trainer: 10 minutes easy pace 


Today is Father's day so...of course did not eat the best today and did not get the water goal in. But today excerciseing went great. My husband and I headed to the gym in the early afternoon. Today, my oldest decided to not get a workout in for P.E. class (she's currently taking P.E. online during the summer) which was fine. So let's go into my thoughts about this workout goal today. 

Upper Cycle GX: 10 minutes - my first thought was how do I hold on to the handle to use it. Once I had that figured out it was hard to keep the pace that I set out. It made my arms tired but I made to the ten minutes before I had to take a breather. Which was great...

Chest Press: I did two sets of 12 reps. I was able to get the poundage up to 25lbs. Which is great though, I wish I could get it to be more higher for this machine. It was a struggle with the way that I had to put my shoulders at a weird angle. But other then that wonderful and completed. 

Row Machine: I also did two sets of 12 reps. The pounds I put on it was 40lbs which for me was perfect currently. I absolutely love this machine and am able to really push myself to accomplish it. Which is why I was able to get it up to 40lbs. 

Lat Pulldown: I did two sets of 12 reps here as well at 40lbs. This one always makes me feel awakard as you need to sit but cannot reach the bar to pull down. So of course I had to stand up to grab the bar then sit down. Still it was great and I was starting to really feel the muscles being used during this. 

Biceps Curl Machine: Also was barely able to make 2 sets of 12 reps at 40lbs. My arms hate this machine. 

Triceps Extension: 2 sets of 12 reps here as well. I wanted to cry and my glasses were fogging because of sweat and my body heat. 

Cross Trainer: I absolutely despise this machine. It's really hard on my legs which I am not the best for balance as it is. So this one I have to hold on and focus the whole time. Though for the first time ever I actually made it the 10 minutes that I was wanting to accomplish. 

Treadmill: Say what...I did extra then my goal. Yep, that was because my husband was trying to get a 5K in on the treadmill. So, I had some extra time to kill. So I hopped onto a treadmill and did a slow pace to get some extra time in for cardio. I had it set at 2 incline and 2.5 mph for most of the ten minutes that I walked. 

All in all a great workout today and already getting tomorrow's workout set which is just cardio. I also weighed myself this morning and I am currently sitting at 250.0. Hoping this week to get into 240's. I also overshot my step count and am currently at 8:39pm sitting at 7,000 steps for the day. Hopefully, tomorrow I can meet my goal as well.
